Do you want to become a Freelancer? Most of us want to work online, especially during this pandemic. They cannot find a good job outside because they are afraid of getting infected. But the question is, how can they get started as freelancing since not everyone knows about this job? Well, if you'd ask me, I would say, “yes, you can be a freelancer even if you don't know it yet”. If you keep scrolling through this blog, you will know how I started as a freelancer and it may help you to get started as a freelancer.

My Story
From the very beginning, I did not know anything about freelancing. But because the rumor spread that you can earn more when you work online, I realized that it would be better if I also worked online as a freelancing. My first job was as a bakery sales clerk. While I was still in high school, I helped my parents with our Mini store by serving food to the customers. To support my studies, I usually go to part-time jobs, and the money I earn is only for my school projects and for my printing assignments.
Getting started with freelancing
The years pass by, June 2019, I decided to take online courses. So, I searched different options based on what’s available on the market, on my budget, and on the specifications of the laptop that is good for freelancing. The very first online academy I entered is the Quickdesk Virtual Solutions. The class is only one day every weekend and I've been working as a sales clerk from Monday to Saturday and I finished it within 4 months. It was quite challenging for me because I had double my tasks. While I was working, I also spent time studying and doing assignments at night.
In this field, I discovered my niche, which is the Graphic design and Video editor. Then, I started applying for some job opportunities. At first, I had a hard time because not all we applied to will be accepted immediately. But in the end, I finally got my job that fits with my skills. It is one of the challenging things that would freelancers do. To get hired fast, click here for more info. To widen my knowledge about freelancing, I've finally discovered this academy site, which is the Filipino Virtual Assistance Business Consultancy. They help the newbie to work online and make their freelancing success.
Choose your freelancing Niche

Some have difficulty choosing their niche or skills due to the number of options available. These three simple tips could help you pick out your niche:
Identify your interests and passions - You’re going to think about what you’re passionate about. For me, my interest is to create graphics and designs. I also love doing video and I can spend hours doing it without getting bored. By your passion and interest, it would help you to enhance your skills.
Research about your chosen niche to solve the problem - If you already choose your niche, research what other tasks based on the skills you have chosen as a niche. Because this is the basis on whether we can do or cope with this work.
Determine the profitability of your niche - You should now have a pretty good idea of what niche you’re going to get into. At this point, it's important to get an idea of how much money you have the potential to make in your niche
Keep Moving Forward
The reason I chose to be a freelancer is that I can work without going out from home, I can earn money with flexible time, and at the same time to be with my family. You'll never know unless you try. Set your goal, make the right decision, do not be afraid to face trials. If you make a mistake, no matter what, correct your error and just like others say, 'keep moving forward'.
